On a gloriously hot day on the 5th August Millington and Givendale celebrated Yorkshire Day 2018. There was the traditional Hill Run, Produce Show and Auction, Tombola, Pet Show and Games. the wonderful Betty Clerk`s Village Tea.   and an evening at the Gait Inn to round off the day.

 

Making a return for this year were the Scarecrows, Cycle stunts;  and of course there was the Maypole which went on and on .......

 

The hi-light of the day as always were the Morris Men and Women, and this year the slightly notorious Ebor Morris from York returned to Millington after 35 years.  

 

And inspite of holidays and away days and against the odds Millington Morris, supported by Fogglesyke, survived another year to carry on the tradition of Tom`s Haymen.
